CONSULTATION SERVICES 

 

plumbingbird is a highly qualified and experienced engineer within the plumbing and heating industry and after receiving several requests, would like to offer this new service, providing valuable, expert advice for anybody who needs it. 

 

This is mainly a consultation only service, either by email, text or videocall (no phonecalls).

Visits may be necessary to survey the situation. 

 

Please be aware that any advice provided by plumbingbird is with good faith and is for technical  assistance and guidance only. Technical advice to laypersons for DIY maintenance of gas appliances will NOT be provided, therefore may require a visit to assess/rectify the problem.

• New system pre-design advice- Expert guidance for new home occupiers, choosing the most suitable/efficient/economical plumbing and heating system for your home type, based on a wealth of experience.

• Renewables advice- Checking viability for Air Source Heat Pumps or advice in choosing alternative renewable options within your home. 

• Second opinion service- To iron out any doubts of advice/work provided by another plumbing company. Rectifying work as necessary.

• Video calls- Expert advice/support for DIYers wishing to fix their own plumbing problems which may save costly plumbing visits. 

• Plumbing and Gas Central Heating Survey visits-  This involves running through a detailed checklist, ensuring that all exposed pipework and appliances are checked and categorised for any remedial work required either, immediately, within the near future or within a certain time frame. This is found to be very useful for new home owners (as the mortgage survey doesn't show plumbing issues in detail) or for home owners who need peace-of-mind and are less aware of how their plumbing systems work. Please call to arrange. 

• Any other consultation work offered- If there is any other detailed advice that you need for plumbing or gas heating, please get in touch!

 

 

Referrals will be made to highly recommended colleagues for practical work if the job(s) required are not within Plumbingbird's remit (see above).
